***Questions for the band***

1# What's with the band name?

We are all passionate boozers, so we originally talked about being The Whiskey Shadow as in a 'hangover' but one of our former members quipped ' nah we don't want to be a hangover, we want to be the Show' and it kinda stuck. We didn't really give it much more thought after that!

Dene, Vocals, Favourite Whiskey: The Glendronach 12y
Scott, Guitar, Favourite Whiskey: Lagavulin 16
Will, Drums, Favourite Whiskey: Bruichladdich
Halden, Bass, Favourite Whiskey: The Glenlivet 12y

3# What genre of music do you consider your work to be? Who are your major influences?

We call what we do Hard-rock predominantly, our influences are really varied, everyone in the band likes different styles so its hard to pin it down, Halden is the prog guy, Scott into his Old School Metal, Dene is into the newer prog and nu-metal and Will is into Punk and Hard rock. But we all like everything in between as well, and that all culminates into our brand of Hard Rock, or whatever you want to call it.

4# How long have you all known each other? How did you meet?

The band in various forms has been going since 2010, Will is the only one to have been in the band from the start with Scott joining shortly after when we looked to add more guitar, we met Halden as he worked at the booze shop near our practice space, We knew Dene from his previous band that we used to open for, they had wrapped things up and Dene was at a loose end, so we scooped him up when our former vocalist left Wellington.

5# Do you have any upcoming shows?

No, we are working on releasing an album, so we are focussed on that side of things, for now, hope to be back on stage real soon though.
